All submitted manuscripts are screened for potential plagiarism, including textual similarities with previously published works.
Originality of Manuscripts
Every submitted manuscript must be the original work of the authors and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in another journal or scholarly publication.
Similarity Checking
JPDK conducts manuscript similarity checks using appropriate plagiarism/similarity detection software during the initial stage of the editorial process and, when necessary, during the revision stage.
Proper Citation and Attribution
Authors must properly acknowledge and cite the sources of all theories, ideas, data, quotations, images, tables, or other materials derived from the work of others.
Prohibition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. This includes copying text without proper citation, using another person's ideas without adequate attribution, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and reusing substantial portions of previously published work without appropriate disclosure.
Evaluation of Similarity Results
Any detected similarity will be substantively evaluated by the editor. The similarity percentage is not the sole basis for editorial decisions, as similarities may result from technical terminology, references, methodological descriptions, or commonly used academic phrases.
Plagiarism Detected Before Publication
If plagiarism is suspected or identified before publication, the editor may request clarification or revision from the authors. In cases of serious academic misconduct, the manuscript may be rejected without proceeding to external peer review.
Plagiarism Detected After Publication
If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, JPDK may take appropriate corrective action depending on the severity of the violation. Such actions may include publishing a correction, issuing a formal notice, or retracting the article if the violation is confirmed to be serious.
Authors' Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the originality, authenticity, and academic integrity of manuscripts submitted to JPDK.
Editorial Authority
JPDK reserves the right to take any necessary editorial action to protect academic integrity, maintain the credibility of the journal, and preserve readers' trust.
